My name is Linda and I started String N Things in 2007 with the idea of making myself a bracelet. Years ago I had made some macrame' jewelry, so I bought some beads and string and created a bracelet. The day I wore it to work, I sold two of them. Before I knew it, co-workers were asking if I could make them some bracelets. So, String N Things was born.

I switched to beading and found a world of fun waiting for me. I really enjoy working with gemstones. I do my best to keep my prices affordable so others can enjoy them as well.

The bracelets I designed were selling very well, so I decided to try my hand at earrings. I was overwhelmed at the response. So, next came the necklaces, and then key chains and eyeglass holders. I just kept expanding. Soon, I will be adding men's tie clasps and cuff links.

I stand behind my work. Nothing is indestructable, and occasionally a wire will break or a magnet will come out of the holder. I repair anything I make and have on occasion repaired jewelry made by others. The magnets I use are very strong, but if you catch the bracelet on something and pull hard enough, it will come apart. This has actually saved a couple bracelets from being lost. One customer told me she caught hers when she was getting out of her car and she did not realize it until she returned to the car to find the bracelet clinging to the car door. Another customer thought she had lost her bracelet until she found it outside her apartment door clinging to the metal railing outside her door. They are also great for those of us that have a hard time with conventional clasps. The magnets are not fancy but they are the strongest ones I have found. I have tried others, but they come apart too easily. I actually lost a bracelet that had one of those weaker magnets on it. I do use other types of clasps occasionally, especially if I want a certain look, but I think you will be like the rest of my customers and prefer the magnets.
